After the enrolment, students have an Orientation Session with a tutor. This session is important as it ensures students understand Direct English materials and how to apply the learning methodologies.
During this session, teachers communicate some good learning habits and study skills advice to the students. Teachers will then help learners to overcome any concerns or fears.
There is a Progress Test at the end of each 3 units in order for the student to get a good indication of his/her progress. The test are designed to reinforce what students have learned as well as giving indication of their progress. After completing 27 lessons, the students complete one Level. Students then are very keen to join a conversation class to interact with other learners.
Conversation Classes Our Direct English Centers offer conversation classes to supplement students’ language learning. The group lessons provide an interactive environment to practice English that students have learned.

Teachers prepare some spoken activities for students to do which will involve the new language students are learning. Teachers also discuss students 'progress in their own language and help with any problem.
